Carbon Dioxide Laser (CO2 Laser) is designed to improve the skins all over appearance. The CO2 Laser works by traumatizing, heating and removing thin layers of skin with minimal damage to the surrounding structure. This process stimulates the growth of new collagen fibers and elastic tissue as the epidermis heals and regrows. After the treatment the results will be tighter more youthful skin appearance. Areas the CO2 Laser can treat include face, eyelids, neck, chest, arms, hands, back and legs.
The CO2 can treat:

- Uneven skin texture

Prior to treatment a topical medicine is applied for one hour then followed by a cold solution to bring down the surface temperature. Postoperative care would include applying a cream to the area three times a day for hydration and a sunblock when going outdoors.
The skin will have a pink tint and be a little swollen for about three days followed by some flaking for about five to seven days. Your skin will have improvement after the treatment but improve more after a few months.
